There are few places as timeless and breathtaking as the Colosseum in Rome, and few moments as unforgettable as a surprise proposal! Recently, I had the pleasure of photographing one of the most romantic proposals in this iconic location, capturing the story of Shane and Zoey as they embarked on a new chapter of their lives together.
Shane wanted everything to be perfect for Zoey, so he planned an intimate moment in a secluded park overlooking the Colosseum. The setting was beautifully arranged with delicate decorations, and to make it even more special, a violinist played Zoey’s favorite song in the background, creating an enchanting atmosphere that took her breath away.
When Zoey arrived, she was completely surprised, her eyes lighting up as she took in the setting, surrounded by flowers, the soft glow of candles, and the historic beauty of the Colosseum. With the gentle music filling the air, Shane got down on one knee, and her answer was a resounding “yes!”

This spot offers breathtaking views and, best of all, a peaceful atmosphere away from the usual tourist crowds. At sunset, the golden light bathes the city in a warm glow, creating the perfect backdrop for a truly unforgettable proposal. Imagine sharing that moment, just the two of you, with ancient Rome unfolding beneath you. It’s pure magic—and incredibly romantic!

Blake and Kailey traveled to Rome with her family for what she thought was just a fun, sightseeing vacation. Little did Kailey know, Blake had a beautiful surprise planned. As they strolled through the Eternal City, her sister asked them to stop at a scenic spot with a perfect view of the Colosseum for a family photo. Kailey happily agreed, and as she turned to take in the breathtaking view, Blake quietly got down on one knee behind her.
The moment she turned back, her surprise was met with a proposal, creating an unforgettable memory. I had the honor of blending in like a fellow tourist, capturing every candid and heartfelt moment from behind the lens. It was a privilege to preserve this incredible milestone for them with a series of timeless, beautiful photographs that they’ll cherish forever.
